5 More Roads to a more Confident YOU!
“You got a dream… You gotta protect it. People can’t do somethin’ themselves, they wanna tell you, you can’t do it. If you want somethin’, go get it. Period.” Will Smith as Christopher Gardner from his autobiography, The Pursuit of Happyness
There is no absolute way to achieve a more Confident YOU!
The possibilities are endlessly unknown and ultimately yours to explore.
Believe in yourself! From my experience in life, the one thing people lack most often is self-confidence. Somewhere, somehow, someone, some situation convinced them that they couldn’t do or be anything that they wanted. People are allowed to their opinions, we all know that, but if you listen to this negative crud long enough it consumes and eats at your impulse to be better until you doubt your ability to do the simplest of things.
You have to ask WHY?
Why did or do, they think I’m incapable of this task, job, or both? Or do they just ASSUME I don’t know because they don’t and if they don’t that must mean I’m definably incompetent!
Let no one control your fate with the necessity of dominance via the rhetoric of doubt, absorb your confidence with who they think you are or should be. In the end, the only person you have to prove yourself to is yourself. This doesn’t mean ignore the demands of your bosses, clients or customers. What it means is that if you think you should be programming, then program, if you think you should write novels then do that. Indulge, be prodigal with your life and enjoy the renascence of you. No one can tell you, you have to choose or pick between the left or right brain except you. So if you wanna be both, then be BOTH! Realistically, you have to:
“Say something crazy and do something impossible.” Anthony Lennon King
My experiences in life have given me a unique perspective on the way people think not just by what they ask of me but what they don’t ask of me. This doesn’t equate to being snubbed but it does mean that if you want to do a thing, you have to do it better than the people being asked to do it, and sometimes A LOT BETTER. Your personal brand depends on it.
You control your personal brand! Be the Super Duper in your own story!
Who you are and what you can do is mostly in your hands, its part of your brand. We’re all able to write the story of our own life and quite honestly the internet and social media makes it kind of easy if you’re willing to abide by the same social rules in the virtual world as you would in actual real life and most of those rules require you to use your good’ole common sense and behave like you care about yourself.
And no, there are no 5 roads to a more confident you. There’s no logistical that’s going to tell you how to eat and not be eaten. No real truisms to guide you. You just have to believe in yourself, know who you are and try harder every day harder to be better.
